{"id":7421,"title":"NOT ENOUGH SPOONS!","description":"Crikey, I\u2019ve not posted for a few days, eek!\nCharlie -my youngest, is about to go off to Uni at the end of this week \ud83e\udd2d so life is a bit hectic right now with the preparations and all that entails...","content":"<p>Crikey, I\u2019ve not posted on social media for days, eek!\u00a0<\/p><p>Charlie -my youngest, is about to go off to Uni at the end of this week\u00a0\ud83e\udd2d\u00a0so life is a bit hectic right now with the preparations and all that entails...<\/p><p>All this week I have seriously been running out of spoons before each day even <em>ends<\/em>, which always makes me worry that I am not giving my best to any given task, needing to prioritise the amount of energy I spend on the most pressing, whilst also worrying\/knowing that I will have to neglect <em>other<\/em> important jobs that need to be done.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/oGBvTRmAbcQp17iV68ye5B5d3jf5EKXwiNuYPRa1GpZMvEeB.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"59990646\" \/>Hence the spoon analogy.\u00a0<\/p><p>The spoon theory is a metaphor or neologism in regards to energy depletion\/fatigue, often used by those living with chronic illness to describe the amount of mental and physical energy a person has available for activities of living and productive tasks.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.teemill.com\/D6JPfguLi2X83DoSW4HpFQSeY0ayNSVsX8thI3G1newP01AT.jpeg.jpg?w=1140&h=auto\" alt=\"\" title=\"59984111\" \/><br \/><br \/>Using this theory as a reference, each day this week I have pretty much used all my spoons by early afternoon and so really struggled to devote any (worthwhile) time to matters beyond my son\u2019s ensuing flight from the nest!<\/p><p>Charlie\u2019s imminent departure brings its own trials &amp;
